Welcome to Thai Basil Restaurant in Sevierville, Tennessee. We are a family-owned restaurant whose mission is to introduce freshly cooked, authentic Thai cuisine to the local area. I'm so sad that this place isn't closer to home. I found this gem on Yelp and decided to try it out. I must say....it was GREAT! Everything from the service, to the food was excellent. The ambiance is a bit lacking. It sits in a strip mall, and feels like a strip mall eatery. I think they could spice the place up a bit to give it more character and really take this place over the top.
But hey, I go to a restaurant to eat, not to stare at knick knacks, so it gets the 5 star salute!
If you are from Indy, I'd compare this place to the likes of Siam Square or Thai Taste which are probably the top Thai places in Indianapolis.
If you are from Sevierville, I'm not sure how to compare this place, but I'll just say that if you have places equal or better than Thai Basil...you should never, ever move away. :)

Their food is amazing. The outside might look a little odd, but it is a hidden GEM. We just had to come back two nights in a row. I'm so glad we try it. All food is extremely well prepared. The waiting staff is quick and friendly. With a beautiful atmosphere. A shame I don't live closer! Perhaps good for my wallet. Thier prices are resonable but it still adds up. BELIEVE ME YOU MUST COME HERE! If you love spice, be prepared to add a lot. Nothing has Givin me that spicy bite I love so. Otherwise, perfect place to go!

Delicious! We came in for dinner ordered both the rainbow stirfry with chicken medium with brown rice and drunken noodles with chicken medium to split between the two of us. Plenty of food for both for dinner with a to go box to take home for one to have lunch the next day. Service was super speedy to be seated and get drinks/menus as well as our food. Vegetables were not overcooked which is a nice change when eating out. This will be a favorite for me visiting Pigeon Forge going forward and I will tell others to go try it definitely for sure!

Excellent Thai food. Will definitely go back. The owner is a very nice lady. My wife and I eat Thai food quite often and this place ranks high on our list.

Great to see a local restaurant (not a chain) with very fresh food in the area. It is tucked into a strip mall but don't let that discourage you. Some of the best drunken noodles I have had and you can select your spicy level-which we really love!

Our family ate here on the way to the Smokies and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise! The service was prompt and attentive and the food came in decent time. We ordered pad Thai, tofu and veggies in Thai sauce, and red curry with chicken and they were all amazing. I've eaten Thai food everywhere (Atlanta to Chicago to New York to Birmingham) and this was on par with the best of the Thai restaurants I've been to. The owner and her son actually came out and chatted with us at the end :)
Overall it was a wonderful experience that I would recommend to anybody who loves good Thai food and quality service!

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Sevier County. Healthy, delicious Thai food served by a quality staff. If you have never had Thai before, come here to give it a try. They give clear descriptions of unfamiliar items, and alter the spice level to your liking. If you already are a lover of the Thai, come here because it will meet or exceed your expectations.
All of the curries are wonderful. I am particularly addicted to the Massaman, and often order it with extra avocados. The Pad Thai is also a favorite in our household. Tofu and meats are always perfectly cooked. I can also recommend the Coco soup (a little spicy) Thai Basil Rolls, Tiger Tears beef, and the cheesy (crab Rangoon-like) rolls.
I enjoyed my first meal so much that I returned the next day, and then ordered to-go the following day. By that time, Gin, the fantastic server, remembered me. I always substitute delicious brown rice for white. It tastes so much better, and is healthy. It is very easy to eat vegetarian or vegan, and they even have gluten-free offerings.
This restaurant is located in the Staples plaza, in between Sevierville & the I-40, on the right if you are driving towards the Smoky Mountains.

___We stopped in for dinner one night and loved talking with the owner, Sue, who was very pleasant and attentive to our every need. We have a family member who must eat gluten-free and other family members with allergies. Sue understood our dietary concerns and walked us through the menu letting us know what was safe to eat. We felt very secure she understood us and took good care of us. We live in Denver and visit Sevierville as a central meeting place for family living in Tennessee & Alabama. We are accustomed to eating a wide variety of healthy, ethnic foods and get frustrated in Sevierville with the lack of choices and unhealthy menu items. We were thrilled to find this clean gem of a restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere and a staff who treated us like old friends from the moment we walked in. Even better, the food was delicious and came out quickly. The drunken noodles were fabulous. There is no question this will be the first restaurant we'll visit when we're in town again. Sevierville is lucky to have this place. We just hope more people will start appreciating this kind of food and demand better options in Sevierville. There are too many pancake houses.

Everything we had was excellent. Dumpling appetizers, the Special Crispy Chicken and the Rama Curry were wonderful. Very nice atmosphere and great service. This is the best Thai food we have had in over three years since moving here from a bigger city. So glad we found it. Much better than anything in the Tri-Cities. This time we were here for the outlet malls and lunch was incidental. Next time, we will make the trip for Thai Basil Restaurant and the outlet malls will take a backseat. They should put up a much bigger sign so people don't miss this place.

We've been waiting for this restaurant to open & now that they are, we aren't disappointed! We love Thai food & they do a wonderful job with it. We have eaten their lunch specials (a great bargain) & have ordered takeout for dinner. Justin is very friendly & helpful if you aren't experienced with Thai food. Give it a try! Some of my favorites are Panang Chicken Curry (medium spicy), Pad Thai Shrimp (mild), Rainbow Stir Fry w/Chicken (medium), Rama Curry w/Chicken (mild or medium), Garlic Beef (medium). Haven't tried their Pad See-ew w/Beef yet but will have to try that next time! It is also very convenient for us since it is next to Anytime Fitness, our gym.

Arguably the best meal in town. The service is quick, the staff is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxing and the food is out of this world. I have yet to try a single dish I haven't absolutely loved.

We love Thai Basil! The food is amazing. Super friendly staff, family friendly atmosphere, very neat and clean. Our favorite dish so far is DRUNKEN NOODLES..but save room for the dessert..because the sticky rice and mango is sooooo good!! Keep up the great work, and thanks.
